Wimbledon and US Open champion Andy Murray is set to marry long-time girlfriend Kim Sears. Murray's management team announced the engagement Wednesday.
Murray, 27, and Sears, 26, have been a couple since meeting at the US Open in 2005. Sears was at the Open along with her father, Nigel, who is a coach.
Murray and Sears already share a home in Surrey with their two dogs Maggie and Rusty.
Earlier this year Murray's long-time friend and rival Novak Djokovic, who is one week younger than the Scot, married his long-time partner Jelena Ristic.
In other news, Murray announced that he was parting ways with coach Dani Vallverdu and fitness trainer Jez Green. Amelie Mauresmo will stay on as head coach.
Murray said on his website: "We sat down at the end of the season and decided that a change would be best for all of us. My off season training and Australian Open preparations have already begun and I am very excited for the new year. I thank Jez and Dani for all their hard work over the years and wish them the best for the future.”
Murray finished 2014 ranked inside the Top 6 of the Emirates ATP Rankings for the seventh consecutive season with a 59-20 record on the year. He won three titles late in the season in Shenzhen, Vienna and Valencia en route to qualifying for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals for the seventh straight year.
